Synopsis
40-year-old Fadi is accompanied to the Beirut International Airport by a friend during the night. He is supposed to remain away for a month. But instead of taking the plane, he rents a car and heads to the mountains where he isolates himself from the rest of the world in a hotel room.
فادي، البالغ من العمر أربعين عاماً، يتجه إلى المطار ليلاً، في سيارةٍ يقودها صديقه. من المفترض أن يبتعد لمدة شهر. لكن، بدلاً من أن يركب الطائرة، يستأجر سيارة ويتجه إلى الجبال حيث يعزل نفسه عن بقية العالم في غرفةٍ في فندق.
Biography
Lebanese filmmaker Ghassan Salhab was born in Dakar in 1958. His feature films include Terra Incognita (2002, Cannes Film Festival, Un Certain Regard), The Last Man (2006, Locarno Film Festival) and the documentary 1958 (FID Marseille). The Mountain is his newest feature.
ولد المخرج اللبناني غسان سلهب في داكار سنة 1958. من أبرز أفلامه الروائية الطويلة: “الأرض المجهولة” (2002، مهرجان كان السينمائي)، و”أطلال” (2006، مهرجان لوكارنو السينمائي)، والفيلم الوثائقي “1958″ (2009، مهرجان مرسيليا للأفلام الوثائقية). “الجبل” هو أحدث أعماله.
