Synopsis
Mostaganem, 200 km from Algiers on the coast. Hassan, a smuggler, carefully prepares with the utmost secrecy, a group of illegal immigrants to cross to Spain. Ten “burners” will participate in the trip.
Harragas is the odyssey of a group that illegally crossed the Mediterranean to southern Spain, the gateway to the coveted European Eldorado.
تبعد مستغانم مسافة 200 كلم عن الجزائر العاصمة، على الخط الساحلي. بسريّةٍ وحرصٍ عاليين، يجهّز المهرّب حسن مجموعةً من المهاجرين غير الشرعيين لعبور إسبانيا. عشرة “حارقين” سيشاركون في الرحلة. “حرّاقة” هي ملحمة الأسفار التي تخوضها مجموعة تعبر المتوسط بشكل غير شرعي باتجاه الجنوب الإسباني.. هي الهروب إلى الجنة الأوروبية الموعودة.
Biography
Algerian-born filmmaker and scriptwriter Merzak Allouache has directed 16 films since 1976. His 1996 feature Salut Cousin! was submitted to the 69th Academy Awards in the category for Best Foreign Language film. Harragas won three major prizes at the 6th Dubai International Film Festival.
ولد الكاتب والمخرج مرزاق علواش في الجزائر عام 1944، وقد أخرج 16 فيلماً منذ عام 1996. تم تقديم فيلمه سلاماً يا ابن العم في الدورة التاسعة والستين لجوائز الأوسكار في فئة أفضل فيلم أجنبي. وقد نال فيلمه حرّاقى ثلاث جوائز في الدورة السادسة من مهرجان دبي السينمائي الدولي
